His Kingdom Come

Just when we think we have this whole idea figured out, God shows up in new and exciting ways. James and I have been slow to really branch out into the ministry opportunities at our favorite theme park becuase of the rules/regulations and occasional hostility there, but this week while there celebrating our daughters birthday, we connected with several ministries already in existence there that are showing some incredibly promising results.

Several weeks ago we connected with an employee out on the West coast, and she shared her heart for bringing the good news of Jesus back into the theme parks. She connected us with her counterpart on the East coast where we were and we were able to meet with Jon and his family while in Orlando! That meeting lasted close to 2 hours and we shared our goals, visions, and background.

While I don't want to share too much and risk the ministries having more set-backs, I am coming today to ask for prayers. After decades of resistance to the Christian faith, doors are being opened in the upper level leadership that would allow equal access to religious rights for Christian employees that other religions already have access to within the same organization.

We also are praying for guidance and open doors for another ministry opportunity within the employee realm of this theme park that will hopefully come to be a reality very soon! I know I am being vague and thats on purpose, to protect the integrity of these ministries ability to move forward. Let's just say this new ministry opportunity is right in our "coffeehouse", wink wink!

Please pray specifically for Christian employees within the parks, and the leadership that is working for them to have better religious freedoms. Pray that these Christian employees remain strong in their faith despite the challenges they face. Pray that these new ministries can align and recieve official recognition. Pray that we can provide the needed assistance to the new ministry opportunity, and that it will open new doors to sharing the Kingdom of God there.
